As viewers of the reality tv world, we influence these people in the way that they act. The more viewers shows like jersey get, the more dramatic the "actors" are and the more money they make. By watching each episode of every season, we are saying that their behavior is perfectly acceptable in our society. The actual REALITY of the situation is that their behavior is not okay even though many viewers find it entertaining.
Jersey Shore
I chose to use a clip of Mike from Jersey Shore to display how dramatic people can get when they are getting paid to be that way. In this clip, Mike slammed his head into a wall during a fight with Ronnie. He claims he only did it because he "didn't realize the wall was cement." My role, as well as others who have viewed this scene, was encouraging such behavior. The more times this video, as well as others, is seen, the more likely it is that Jersey Shore will continue to be the most ridiculous show shown on tv.
I completely agree with you! Anyone who watches the shows on a continual basis is showing that the outrageous and unrealistic behaviors of the characters are ok in society. Which they are not.
